Young African Research Network Inaugural Workshop

YARN is built with the mission to level global knowledge-production, especially knowledge about the African continent, by jump-starting the careers of future African researchers in all disciplines. To start this exciting movement, YARN is inviting applications for our soft-launch program. The program takes place for half a day, and is designed to introduce participants to the most pertinent skills and information for a career in research.

Successful applicants to the launch program will also be fast-tracked in their application to be a fellow in our inaugural cohort of the YARN Mentorship Fellowship. It will connect mentees to experienced mentors in their research fields of interest, expose them to research opportunities and provide funding for research projects.
